The young fashion conscious population - more than of quarter of Turkey’s 73 million people are under 15 – and the growing economy also creates opportunities for fashion in Turkey.


In Turkey, street style -in the sense of youth making or augmenting their own fashion- does not really happen in the same way as can be observed in other countries. Youth in Turkey is fashion and trends aware, but logos and brands dominate the choices.


The young generation is highly fashionable, avidly follows trends and is not averse to experimentation. It is not uncommon to spot a young girl in vertiginous heels, skinny Acne jeans, a Zara top and Bottega Veneta “tresse” tote.
