An amazing outcome of the same interview is that in Turkey, %32 of the attendees of every event is there by invites. Biletix sells concert tickets worth of 50 million TL. They say that in addition to this sale, they give out 15 milion TL worth of tickets as invites. Sponsors of the events request this share and distribute it to the people who they think is important for their company relations.

Interesting is that people who can actually buy the tickets are the ones who attend through invitation. People who have difficulty in buying tickets are the ones who save up and buy. It is a matter of prestige for administrator class to have invites to a concert. They will actually get offended if an invitation is not send to them for a certain event. Also, another cultural trait is that 50% of the ticket sales take place in the last two weeks before the event.
